Ingredients
Scale
2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
1 cup cottage cheese (can be blended for a smoother texture)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Optional: green onions for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cottage cheese (blend it beforehand if you prefer a completely smooth dip), half of the shredded cheddar cheese, hot sauce, and garlic powder.
Stir all components until thoroughly blended.
Transfer this mixture into a small casserole or other oven-safe dish.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbling. If you desire a golden, crispy top, you may briefly activate the broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching it very closely to prevent burning.
Allow to cool slightly before serving, garnished with green onions if desired.
Notes
Blend cottage cheese for smoother texture if preferred.
