Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended)
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
1 large egg, beaten
2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt on both sides.
In a shallow dish, combine grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Mix well.
In another shallow dish, beat the egg.
Dip each pork chop first into the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off.
Then, dredge the pork chop in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure a good coating on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the crusted pork chops in the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan (cook in batches if necessary).
Cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
Remove pork chops from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
For an even crispier crust, ensure the olive oil is sufficiently hot before adding the pork chops.
Adjust seasoning to your preference.
Panko breadcrumbs provide a lighter, crispier texture than traditional breadcrumbs.
