A simple and quick sauce made with butter, capers, lemon juice, garlic, and parsley, ideal for serving over fish, chicken, pasta, or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 50g (approx. 3 1/2 tbsp) slightly salted butter
  • 2 tbsp crushed capers
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, or as desired
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place a skillet over low-medium heat. Once warm, add the butter and allow it to melt. Be careful not to let the butter brown.
  2. Add the crushed capers and chopped garlic to the melted butter. Stir and cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic is fragrant and softened.
  3. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and finely chopped parsley.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, if desired.
  5. Allow the sauce to simmer for approximately 1 minute, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and serve the sauce immediately over your choice of fish, chicken, pasta, or vegetables.
