Easy Chicken Parmesan Sliders are mini sandwiches made with crispy breaded chicken tenders, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and slider rolls, baked to perfection for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (26-ounce) package crispy breaded chicken tenders or cutlets
  • 12 slider rolls (e.g., Hawaiian sweet rolls)
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 3 medium garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp granulated garlic)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)
  • 12 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce, divided, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 12 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley, for garnishing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. Bake the crispy chicken tenders or cutlets according to package directions until golden and heated through. Once cooked, let them cool slightly and cut them into smaller pieces to fit the slider buns, if necessary.
  3. Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected if possible. Place the bottom halves of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well.
  5. Brush the bottom halves of the rolls liberally with about half of the seasoned garlic butter mixture.
  6. Layer the bottom rolls with 6 slices of mozzarella cheese. Spread approximately 1/2 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the cheese.
  7. Arrange the cooked chicken pieces over the marinara sauce. Drizzle with another 1/2 cup of marinara sauce and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Top with the remaining 6 slices of mozzarella cheese, then place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese.
  9. Brush the tops of the rolls with the remaining garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with the reserved 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese.
  10. Loosely cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue to bake for another 3-5 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden brown and the cheese is beautifully melted and bubbly.
  11. Carefully slice the sliders apart along their perforations. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired. Serve immediately with extra warm marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh slider rolls and high-quality marinara sauce.
  • Chicken baking time may vary based on package instructions; typically 15-20 minutes.
  • Sliders are best served warm and fresh from the oven.
