Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Cajun Seasoning Blend:
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to desired spice level)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine all Cajun seasoning blend ingredients: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub the Cajun seasoning generously over both sides of each chicken breast.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add chicken breasts to the hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center (internal temperature 165°F/74°C). The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the chicken.
Remove chicken from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Serve hot with your favorite side dishes, such as rice, green beans, or a fresh salad.
Notes
Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to control the spice level.
Ensure the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safety.
Resting the chicken before slicing helps to keep it moist.
