  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then sprinkle evenly with the seasoning mix.
  5. Place chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is mostly cooked through (internal temperature around 150°F/65°C).
  7. Remove chicken from oven and brush generously with BBQ sauce on all sides.
  8. Return to oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
